Vauxhall Mokka and Astra J starting problems caused by faulty engine ECU

Astra J and Mokka engine ECU fault

Common complete non-start of the Vauxhall Mokka and Astra J models is often attributed to a faulty engine management ECU. This Delco GMPTH-D1C (E87) engine ECU is fitted to various GM 1.7 CDTi engines across multiple models and will commonly fail due to internal component malfunction.

Failure of this ECU will cause intermittent to permanent symptoms such as causing the engine to begin cutting out and failure to restart on turn of ignition. A range of fault codes may be stored for reference voltage problems and codes relating to ignition relay circuit issues. Failure of this Mokka and Astra ECU will also cause permanent no start of the vehicle and the engine ECU may not achieve communications with diagnostics scanners at this point.

Rather than purchase an expensive replacement ECU, which will require coding using diagnostics at an extra expense, we can offer an alternative.

Our in-house R&D team have identified common manufacturing defects within this engine ECU and have developed a solution that can be turned around within 2-3 working days.

We can test and rebuild your existing Vauxhall Mokka or Astra J engine ECU using expert technical knowledge and higher rated components than standard and return the unit back to you ready to be plugged back into the car (no coding required) with an unlimited mile Lifetime Warranty.
