This Ford Fiesta (Mk6) clutch actuator is fitted to the Durashift EST (Electronic Shift Transmission) gearbox and is very problematic. Common internal failure of this actuator will cause the gearbox to get stuck in a gear, and when you turn the car off and then try to restart you will find that the engine refuses to start, this is because the gearbox actuator cannot select neutral.

 

The warning message ‘Transmission fault’ will appear on the instrument cluster and there will either be a flashing ‘N’ in the gear display or it will not show anything at all. If you have the vehicle scanned with diagnostic tools, you will usually get the most common fault code of P0810 – Clutch Position Control Error, which cannot be cleared.

Hi my 2008 fiesta clutch actuator is faulty if I send it to you for repair will I have to put any car to a Ford dealer for it to be bleed

Hi Neil, thankfully main dealership will not be required, your local garage will be able to help with bleeding this back onto the vehicle.
