Blue and Me Fiat 500 – Not working due to module failure

Fiat Blue&Me module repair

No Bluetooth connection, battery drain and flashing mileage on Fiat 500 is an increasingly common problem that is caused by internal failure of the Blue&Me control module. First released in 2006, this module was supposed to "enable drivers to communicate effectively with the outside world" according to its developers Microsoft and Fiat. However, what it has successfully managed to do is provide motorists with another cause of trouble.

Misconceptions of the Fiat 500 Flashing Mileage

Often when a driver is faced with a flashing mileage/odometer, the blame is immediately put on the instrument cluster, as this is a symptom that can manifest from a faulty cluster. However, in this case it is the Blue&Me control module at fault, sadly it’s not just the Fiat 500 that’s affected, see our list below for Alfa Romeo, Fiat and even Ford models that are affected by this issue.

What goes faulty?

The Blue&Me is located inside the rear passenger side panel, near the speaker on the Fiat 500, the Blue&Me module will commonly fail due to two reasons, water ingress, and poor quality components failing, causing an internal breakdown of the unit. Rather than resolve these issues at manufacturer level and begin production of flawless units, the parent company Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) dropped the entire system in favour of a new system, Uconnect 5.0, that is produced by a different manufacturer.

Clearly this leaves anyone in need of a replacement in a rather tricky predicament…

Not to worry though, we have developed a test and rebuild process that will get your Blue and Me infotainment module back to working order within 2-3 working days, and we’ll even provide a Lifetime Warranty for peace of mind.
