Rover Flat battery, draining over night common fault
Another very common fault with the Rover K series engine is the battery draining over night so it is completely flat in the morning. This common fault is usually always caused by the ECU holding the main engine relay on even when the key has been removed from the ignition. This causes the battery to go flat even if you have a very good battery it will normally drain completely over night. To cure this problem a replacement ECU will have to be sought, this is a fault internal to the ECU and is not caused by any outside source so just replacing the ECU will cure the problem.
