Peugeot 207 ECU - common anti pollution fault

This Peugeot 207 ECU is a very common failing unit that affects vehicles built between 2007 and 2015 with the standard 1.4 and 1.6 litre engines and also the higher powered VTi and GT CC versions.

Peugeot 207 ECU

We see a lot of these 207 ECUs failing, causing the 'anti pollution fault' message to be displayed, failure of the coolant temperature sensor/gauge, with a constant overheat warning light on the dashboard, this will also cause the coolant fan to run constantly and may cause engine idling problems, also fault codes stored for the thermostat heater control.

Another common symptom of ECU failure is MOT emissions failure caused by a non-functioning lambda sensor circuit, if this occurs then you will likely have fault codes stored for the oxygen 02 sensor. We have also seen failure of this ECU to cause engine misfires and sporadic fault codes for various engine sensors.

Common fault codes:

·         P0599 – Thermostat heater control circuit – short circuit to positive

·         P0135 – Oxygen sensor heater malfunction – (Bank1, sensor 1)

·         P0031 – Oxygen sensor heater control circuit low – (Bank 1, Sensor 1)

·         P0141 – Oxygen sensor heater circuit malfunction – (Bank 1, Sensor 2)

·         P0958 – Controlled thermostat control – short circuit to earth

·         P0037 – Oxygen 02 sensor heater control circuit low – (Bank 1, Sensor 1)

·         P2237 – Oxygen sensor positive current control circuit

·         P0014 – Exhaust camshaft dephasing fault coherence

Rebuild vs replacement:
We can fully test and rebuild your own ECU with an unlimited mileage Lifetime warranty*. Attempting to fit a second hand ECU to this vehicle is not possible due to the fact that your ECU is programmed to the vehicles VIN indentification and is also coded to the ignition keys. When we rebuild your own unit we retain all of the original programming and coding so there is no need for an expensive trip to the main dealer afterwards, it is just a case of plugging it back in and away you go.

We can also supply replacement ECU’s from stock when available, a replacement unit would not require any programming either as we can supply replacement ECU in a free running state whereby we program the ECU to run independently of the vehicles immobiliser system.

We rebuild these Peugeot 207 ECUs for main dealers and specialists all over the globe so you can be assured of our very high standard of work

Unlike purchasing a new unit from the main dealer there will be no need to reprogram or recode your ECU once you receive it back, it is just simple plug and play. Similarly if we supply a replacement unit then there will be no need for coding either, as we can supply the replacement ECU in a free running state.

All our rebuilt units come with an unlimited mileage lifetime warranty*

Payment - If you would like to have your own unit fully rebuilt then you have two options regarding payment:

Pay in advance:
This option will allow you to pay for the rebuild in advance of the ECU arriving with us, this is the faster option as we will not need to contact you once your unit has been tested, we will just go ahead with the rebuild if it is faulty and then send it straight back to you. To pay in advance for this service please choose your part number from the list of part numbers above and click the 'Get yours rebuilt' option.

Pay after testing:
With this option we will contact you after we have received and fully tested your ECU, we will then give you the results of the testing and if it is faulty you can then decide if you want us to go ahead with the rebuild or not, it is at this point you would need to pay. This option is a little slower but gives you greater control over whether you want the unit rebuilding or not once it has been tested. If you prefer this option then please fill in this test form and we will immediately email you with full shipping instructions.
