BMW 3 Series Turbo Actuator Problem

BMW 3 Series turbo actuator fault

BMW 320D, 325D, 330D Turbo Actuator Fault

(E90, E91, E92, E93)

This is a very common fault for all BMW 3 Series diesels built between 2005 and 2010. When the actuator fails it causes the engine to lose power suddenly and intermittently. The reduction of power is normally quite severe as the engine will feel as though it has lost about half of its overall horsepower. If you turn the engine off and leave it for a while, then it will normally rectify - but the fault always returns and just gets worse over time.

As this fault progresses, instances of the turbo sticking will increase dramatically due to the inoperation of the turbo actuator.

When presented with this failure, the manufacturer will advise to resolve the issue with an entirely new turbo kit: at vast amounts of money.  Turbo actuators are not sold separately from turbochargers, meaning you will have to purchase a full kit even when your own turbo is still good.

Our solution will save you a considerable amount of money – we can test and rebuild your turbo actuator in 2-3 working days, negating the need to purchase un-needed parts.
