The CAT C10 engine was developed specifically for heavy duty use and has been installed onto various vehicles. It employs an electronic control module (ECM) to constantly monitor engine operating conditions and make the necessary adjustments to ensure peak performance and fuel efficiency. The Caterpillar ECM also provides diagnostic capabilities, allowing for quick and accurate troubleshooting should any issues arise.
The engine is reliable and is certainly built to last, however the Caterpillar ECM itself is also a cause of major concern. The ECM can not only detect CAT C10 engine problems, but also cause them, most specifically being complete non-start.
When this occurs, the only recourse was to call the Caterpillar dealer for a new unit – a process that can be very costly, and time consuming.
Fortunately, there is now a much more affordable and reliable solution – test and rebuild of your existing ECM. Our technicians can have the ECM up and running within 2-3 working days, without the need for reprogramming.
Affected Vehicles:
This ECU is fitted to the 6 cylinder Caterpillar C10 10.3L diesel engine which is equipped to various commercial, industrial, agricultural and construction vehicles.
