We don't get many Hyundia injection system problems I know that they are not as thick on the ground as say Vauxhall or Ford but I suspect the real reason to be that they just
don't go wrong as much. The Japanese seem to sort out most of their design problems before the car gets to the customer, whereas some other manufacturers seem only to start sorting out design deficiencies by using
customer fault feedback. Other than for routine servicing the most common cause of our working on a Japanese car is for a Carburettor fault, the fuel injection systems give little trouble at all. Japanese
carburettors are part of a cunning plot along with Sake and Suchi to make us think that Japanese Psychology is superior to ours - we must be wrong not to think that carburettors should be more an expression of
artform than a means of making the engine run, and that fish should be in a state to choose to wriggle down our throats on their own. Why otherwise would you need skills more akin to a surgeon's to strip their
carburettors. Surgeons even have it easier - at least the bits that matter they can usually find in the same place next time round, with Japanese carburettors they could be anywhere. Anyway the Hyundia Sportrack
that came to us with a problem of stalling at idle needed the carburettor stripping and the idle system drilling to fix the problem - to the delight of the owner since the cost quoted to him for a new one had nearly
induced the attentions of a real Doctor.

Hessitation, power loss. This type of problem can be one of the most time consuming faults to find because the problem often is only slight and the fault only shows up when the car is being
driven under load.
One of the most commen causes of this is fouled or sticking injectors that can be reconditioned at less than tenth the price of a new set. For more information on injector servicing click on injector.
